I needed new jeans, so I've been searching for high rise boot cuts. I am 5'8", about 126-128 lbs, true size 6. I am proportional. Certainly not perfect, just no issues like very tall, petite, tiny waist, big hips, etc. After extensive research and reading tons of reviews, I ordered KUT from the Kloth Natalie High Rise, NYDJ Barbara High Rise, NYDJ Sarah High Rise (they sent me two Barbaras, so I didn't get the Sarah), and Silver Suki High Rise jeans. This review is for the Silver Suki High Rise boot cut jeans. (I will review the others separately.)Rise: Not a true high rise. I expect a true high rise to come all the way up to my waist. These still fall a little below my belly button. However, they are definitely higher than a mid rise. They are high enough that they don't fall down or have a gap in the back, and that's what matters to me. ***UPDATE*** I tried these on again after posting this review (same day), and I think these are more of a true high rise. And they don't look like "mom jeans" at all. I also love the back pocket placement, which is something Silver brags about. They are right. Most jean back pockets are way too low, making your butt look saggy. These back pockets are much higher, as they should be!Size: True to size. I ordered a 28 (which is a 6), and they fit well. I think a 27.5 would fit better, if they made such a thing. I'm going to order the 27 and keep both on hand.Inseam: Long. Average inseam is 32", and these are around 33". I like either one, so no complaints on that.Color: Not exactly what I was looking for. These are awesome "cool" jeans, if you are going for the distressed look. I love that look, but I was searching for a darker (but not blue-black) wash that would be a little dressier. These are distressed on the front and back, and the edges of the pockets and cuffs are made to look worn.Fit: Pretty good. The rise is not quite as high as I would like, but I don't think they will be falling off like mid rise. The thighs are slightly too big. They are cut just a little too relaxed. The boot cut is good. Not the best, but it's okay. These are definitely not too flared, if that is your concern.Denim: Fairly lightweight. Very soft and comfortable. Not quite as heavy as I would have liked, although I think they will work very well for summer. I don't think these will be winter jeans at all.Bottom line: These are the keepers. They aren't perfect, but I'm beginning to realize that in a world of skinny jeans, my perfect boot cuts don't exist. The rise was the most important thing to me, and these pass that test. They aren't quite as slim as I would like, but they are the ONLY jeans that have come close to what I was looking for. Silver Jeans are my new go-to jeans as of today.
