I was on Amazon looking for my next pair of 7 for allmankind jeans & I happen to stumble across these Mother jeans, which I have NEVER heard of before. I was looking for a pair of high-waisted jeans, light wash for the spring/summer. I think I've found them!! :) I ordered my original size as I do in my 7 jeans which is a size 28, only for them to arrive very tight on the waist... so I sent them back and ordered a size 29, and they fit perfect. So, it depends.. if you order these anticipate going up one size.. I'm 5'4 & 133lbs (fyi)The price of these are comparable to my 7 jeans or Hudson jeans, so the price wasn't sticker shock for me. I REALLY, REALLY, like the fit of these.. one of the CONS is that they don't have much of a stretch, but i'll do an update after I have worn these all day. I bought them in February, I plan to wear them as soon as it gets warmer here in Virginia. I'm not a huge fan of ripped jeans, because there are some being sold that looks ridiculous, but these aren't too bad and if you dress them with some heels, a cami & blazer.. they can look pretty decent. :)Too big and longThe picture of these jeans makes them look like they are classic thick good quality denim with a perfect lighter denim white washed/distressed color. The real thing is a cheap looking blue and they are stretchy and much more formfitting than the way they sit on the model. The color almost looks printed on in my opinion. Will be sending them back.I saw all the comments that people needed to order a bigger size than normal so I wanted to chime in and say all of my Mothers jeans are size 27 and I ordered a 27 and they fit perfect. 5'8" 135lbs. I would reference the measurements in the size chart.I originally bought a size 27 because that’s the size I take in most jeans but had to return and get a size 28. I love the lighter wash and the length of the Jean.Absolutely love these jeans. I’m normally a 31/32 in mother (30/31 in madewell and Paige) and got these in a 32 so I’d recommend sizing up if you are on the fence about sizing. I’m 5’6” and had to hem them to get the same above the ankle look in the model. I just cut them myself but it’s kind of a bummer to lose the cute detailing on the bottom. They are the perfect high waisted vintage looking jean. I wear them pretty much every week.I usually wear a size 25 in Mother jeans( I have many), but these jeans were so tight and stiff. It ‘s about 2 sizes smaller than the usual Mother jeans.Months later I decide to reorder in size 28( which I have never worn- 3 sizes bigger than my regular size)and wow it fits perfect and looks great and is much longer too which is great to wear with a bit of heels.
