These technically “fit” well- fitted through hips and thighs, tapered waist, high rise, wide leg, loose fit. However the rise was way too high for me at 5’3…the waist went just a couple inches under my bra strap. The look was actually quite flattering from the front and would have been nice with a cropped sweater or top, but these did no favors for my back/waist and butt. I tried with a fitted crop top and my back fat showed right between where the waistband was and my bra and looked funny with a looser fitting, slightly longer length shirt than a crop top on my backside. I would say these were not too tight on me, so I am not really sure what shirt I would wear with them. Another thing is that I’d have to get them hemmed about 4 inches….I would have been willing to do this if the rest of the fit worked. All in all, way too high in the rise for my torso and size (5’3 and 155 lbs). For reference, I got a 29, which felt exactly right. I’m just sad about the rise and the look in the back. Going to try for the low pro Levi’s which I have heard actually have more of a mid rise and are not too low or high. These would probably work really well for someone else- I see why they are popular. Worth a shot just not for me.
